My memories of Rob from over 50 years ago remain vivid and always makes me smile when I think about this lovely,laid back gentle guy who proved that nice people can still get to the top in their chosen careers. We started out together on the local paper in York on our journalistic paths and I will always remember the amazing Golding smile that charmed all who had the pleasure of being interviewed by him.
